    The following is a rough list of deadlines for the college, in sequential order. Slight variations will occur each year, please use this as a guide only, refer to the college published list for specific dates.

First Year

Applications Due:                              February 1st of starting year

S102 Manual Dexterity & Written:   1st/2nd Week of April of starting year

Tests and Entrance Interview :         This will not appear on the GBC list. Your invitation will
                                                        come to you from the P&O Program directly via email.

Acceptance: This occurs on and up to right after the last interview day


Registration Letter:                            1st Week of June of starting year
                                                         GBC will email you a notification of your registration window


Fees Due:                     3rd Week of June of starting year
                                                         $500 Deposit Due to hold spot, Tuition can be paid                                                                      

GBC P&O Email Account:                3rd Week of June of starting year
                                                             
S102 Summer Online Orientation:    1st Week of July of starting year
                                                             
Web Registration (Stu-View):          3rd Week of July of starting year
                                                            There are staggered dates for this, you will have to check
                                                            Stu-View regularly after the 1st week of July to learn when
                                                            S102/C07 can register.

Register and apply for transfer credits if required

Tuition Fees Due: Mid August

All school fees are due for students not receiving OSAP


Last Placement Tests (1st Yr):         3rd Week of August of starting year
                                                          The deadline for writing placement tests before being place in     in the foundation level course

Validation Stickers: Go Transit validation stickers for the year can be picked up at


Sunnybrook Orientation:                   Last Week of August of starting year
                                                          You will get an email inviting you to an orientation


First Day of Classes:                         1st Week of September

Last Day to apply for Transfer Credit
                                                             
Last Day to Drop:                                1st Day of 2nd Full Week of September     
                                                             Drop-out date to get out of the program with some of your                                                              money.  Exact date on GBC List.


Exemption Notice:                             1st Day of Last Week of September - 1st Year
                                                           If you have applied for a course exemption, this would be the                                              you find out if you got it. It will be posted on Stu-View.


S102 Reading Week:                       Last Week of October / First Week of November -1st Year

Registration Letter #2:                      1st Week of June in summer break
                                                            GBC will email you a notification of your registration window with 

                                                            directions as well as the official invoice for the upcoming college                                                               year (tuition, materials & other fees).Just like the last one this                                                                   letter shows the final costs of the first year of college, which may                                                               be 3% higher than the previous second year estimate.

Web Registration #3:                        3rd Week of July in summer break
                                                             There are staggered dates for this, you will have to check

First Day of Classes:                        1st Week of September - 2nd Year
                                                             Second Year starts the Tuesday after Labour Day. The exact                                                                    date will be in your Google Calendar.


S102 Reading Week:                        Last Week of October / First Week of November - 2nd Year


Work Term #1:                                   Last Week of October/1st Week of November - 2nd Year
                                                             Four weeks of working in a real facility on devices for real                                                                          people! If you get Orthotics this time you get Prosthetics in the                                                                  next, or vice versa.


March Break:                                      1st Week of March - 2nd Year
                                                             Refer to P&O Google Calendar for exact dates.


Work Term #2:                                   2nd Week of March - 2nd Year
                                                             Four more weeks of working with professionals in a real facility                                                                  on devices for real people!


End of Second Year:                         2nd Week of May - 2nd Year
                                                             Congratulations! Now go show them what you can do!


Commencement:                               2nd Week in June after second year.


 


Third Week of September

Important: A non-refundable late charge will be applied if fees are not received by this date.

Balance of Fees Due for the Fall 2018 Term (for students who are receiving OSAP or Second Career funding)

Third week of September

This deadline date is strictly enforced. 

If you are a domestic student, please withdraw from your program online via STU-VIEW – you will be required to provide a reason for withdrawal. Otherwise, requests for withdrawals must be submitted in writing to the Registrar's Office by the deadline.

Always seek Academic Advising prior to withdrawing from a program.

Last Day to Withdraw from an Entire Program with a Partial Refund for the Fall 2018 Term.

 

All Transfer Credit (Exemption) Decisions Are Finalized for the Fall 2018 Term.

 

Any approved transfer credits will be automatically applied to your record. Check your timetable or Credential Audit (CAPP) report in STU-VIEW to see if your transfer credit (exemption) has been processed.

Please note: All transfer credit applications are evaluated by the corresponding academic department.

Last week of September

 

Last Day to Apply for Student Awards for the Fall Term.

Last Day to Apply for Family Dependent Coverage Under the Student Health Insurance Plan for the Fall 2018 Term.

Last Day to Opt in or Opt out from the Student Health Insurance Plan for the Fall 2018 Term.

Check STU-VIEW for your program's registration start date/time. Online registration for Winter 2019 is staggered and begins on Monday, November 19, 2018.

 

Registration Dates for the Winter 2019 Term are Posted on STU-VIEW by 9:00 a.m.

Last Day to Withdraw from a Course or an Entire Program Without Academic Penalty for the Fall 2018 Term – FULL SEMESTER (14-Week Courses)

 

Last day to drop courses without receiving an 'F' grade.

For most programs, you may drop courses or withdraw from the entire program online via STU-VIEW. Otherwise, requests for withdrawals must be submitted in writing to the Registrar's Office by the due date.

Always seek Academic Advising prior to withdrawing from a course or program.

Mid November

Online Registration Begins for the Winter 2019 Term.

 

Check STU-VIEW for staggered registration times to see when you can start to register. Registration start dates/times will be posted by November 2, 2018.
Be sure to register for all required courses each semester. You may register yourself online via STU-VIEW or in person at the Student Service Centre.

Mid November

 

First Day to Apply Online for Transfer Credits for the Winter 2019 Term.

 

Login to your STU-VIEW account to complete the online application for transfer credit.

Be sure to register for all required courses prior to applying for transfer credits; this will help ensure that you meet all your program requirements in the event that transfer credits are not granted. Check STU-VIEW on November 2, 2018 for your program's registration start date/time.

Log into your STU-VIEW account to add courses to your schedule.

Check your timetable or Credential Audit (CAPP) report in STU-VIEW to see if you have been granted a transfer credit (exemption). You can also check the "View Denied Exemption Requests" link in STU-VIEW.

 

After this date, any approved transfer credits (exemptions) for Winter 2019 will be automatically applied to your record. You do not have to accept them.

Third Week of January

Last Day to Drop a Course from Your Schedule for the Winter 2019 Term – FULL SEMESTER

 

For most programs, students can drop courses online via STU-VIEW. Otherwise, please visit the Student Service Centre <https://www.georgebrown.ca/current_students/contact_services_centres/> to drop a course from your schedule.

Important: Students who drop more than two courses may fall into part-time status, which can impact tuition fees as well as OSAP eligibility. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are registered for all required courses.

Always seek Academic Advising prior to dropping courses.
